San Antonio Art Show

Processed with VSCO with hb2 presetLast week we drove down to San Antonio for my friend Ruth’s art show. She is so talented! Here is her website ;p

It was my first time in San Antonio and I really liked it. The architecture was beautiful and I learned a lot about the Alamo, which is important, seeing as I’m a Texan now!

Hello from Texas

Hello from the great state of Texas. I am readjusting to America day by day: free water, small talk, giant trucks everywhere! It’s been so nice to spend time with my brother and boyfriend. My parents return from their travels on May 8th and I can’t wait to see them too. These photos were taken on Easter. Don’t these guys look handsome?! Anyways, that’s me, folks. Leave me a comment about what’s new with you these days!

Spring Break in Texas

fullsizeoutput_3bfeHey friends! How are you? I just flew back to California last night after a week in Texas. I enjoyed exploring Fort Worth, Waco and Dallas with my friends Jessica and Carrie for our Spring Break. The weather was beautiful and the company was stellar. Plus, it was so nice to catch up with my family after nearly two months apart. Below are a few photos if you’d like to see!fullsizeoutput_3bfafullsizeoutput_3bfbfullsizeoutput_3bfcfullsizeoutput_3bfdfullsizeoutput_3bff^The Stock Yards in Cowtown, Fort Worth. an afternoon in Austin

img_2686Yesterday my little brother and I drove down to Austin to explore! It is the capital of Texas, something you can’t miss because the giant capital building is smack dab in the center of downtown. Congress Street leads up to its steps, and is lined with the cutest shops and restaurants you ever did see. Austin has very hip, chill vibes and I couldn’t get enough! Below are a few photos if you care to take a gander.img_2562img_2571img_2578img_2588img_2594img_2597^Inside the State Capital building. It is so beautifully designed, I was in awe!img_2609img_2611img_2622img_2632img_2646img_2647^A few trees hung on to their fall colors!img_2654img_2670img_2679^The Colorado river runs through the city center, and is spanned by several bridges. I would definitely recommend a trip if you’re in the area 🙂

hey Fort Worth, you’re a lot colder than I remember

unnamed-2Oh hey Fort Worth, you’re a lot colder than I remember! Last time I visited was in November when it felt like SoCal weather, but this trip is a different story. Still, I love the feelings winter brings, that sense of encouraged hibernation and coziness. I’ve had such a relaxing few days already, and it’s just the start of break. Below are a few photos from around town if you’d like to see!img_2328img_2303img_2268img_2266img_2253img_2252unnamedimg_2364img_2346img_2323img_2270img_2457img_2456img_2447img_2428img_2433img_2434img_2390

A Quick Trip to Texas

img_1060I hopped on a plane Friday morning and made my way back to good ol’ Texas! I just couldn’t wait till Christmas to see my parents and little brother again. It was such a lovely, refreshing weekend filled with good food and laughter. On Saturday we headed down to Waco to go to the Baylor vs. TCU football game. I’m not much for the sport, but I sure did have a fun time experiencing all the Baylor traditions. It’s a BIG deal down there, let me tell you!img_1031img_1034img_1047^Breakfast at a cute cafe in Wacoimg_1056img_1086img_1092^Isaac borrowed a friend’s jersey for me to wear on game day! A Weekend in Texas!

img_9791I just got home last night from a long weekend in Texas! My brother, his fiancé and I flew out to visit my parent’s new home just outside Fort Worth. We also made a trip down to Waco on Friday to see my little brother, who is a freshman at Baylor University. I had a great time, and took an obscene amount of pictures. Below are quite a few if you care to take a gander!img_9530img_9534img_9537img_9539^The guest bedroom. It has all my grandmother’s old furniture, but it looks so nice in this space! My parents even had her bed frame refurbished.img_9543^I played so much piano during my stay! I miss it. img_9549img_9560^My parents haven’t bought much new furniture because they’re not sure how long they will stay in this house after their lease it up. It was kind of strange to see everything from my old house in a new place, but it looked great.img_9568img_9575^The patio with a lake viewimg_9593^On our way to downtown Fort Worth. It’s a really neat city– very laid back with cool shops and a central square to gather for events and such.img_9624^At the Kimball art museumimg_9651img_9660img_9662img_9677img_9699img_9706img_9710img_9734img_9740img_9760img_9786^Watching the sunset from my parent’s dock. I never thought I’d be able to say my parents have a ‘lake house.’ I was in photographer’s heaven!img_9787img_9788img_9800img_9805img_9816img_9838img_9839img_9857^We drove an hour and a half to Waco, and made sure to stop at Magnolia Farms, the design store made famous by Chip and Joanna Gains from the HGTV show “Fixer Upper.” I bought some cute ceramic birds that I don’t need…img_9865img_9876img_9880img_9898img_9919^We met up with Isaac at the coffee shop Common Grounds right across from campus. I am so happy he loves it there 🙂img_9996img_0002img_0013^This has to be my favorite photo from the trip– Isaac is photo bombing the happy couple hardimg_0032img_0037img_0047img_0059img_0061^For some reason the image quality gets significantly reduced when I upload them to WordPress. Any ideas on how to remedy that?img_0089^I have a feeling this photo might show up in your mailbox come December. It has Christmas Card written all over it!

Well, I had a great time Texas! You sure welcomed us with open arms. In fact, I think I brought the heat back with me to California. It is 95 degrees here in Malibu today, and my house doesn’t have air conditioning! Oh well, I’ll survive 🙂
