The Dominican Republic

Hola y bienvenidos!

I have returned from my week-long mission trip to the Dominican Republic. It was such an amazing learning and growing experience. The culture there is fascinating, and the people are so friendly. I taught English in a primary school in the town of Monti Cristi. The children were so sweet and playful. I also visited the marketplace ‘Da Jabon’ which is on the border of Haiti and the DR. It was eye opening, and shocking to see the way people live and things they do to survive.

All in all, it was a wonderful spring break and I hope you like these pictures. I will be sure to post more soon (I took way too many)!
